In Dec 2024, The Toledo Museum of Art, who had recently become the first major museum to use cryptocurrency to acquire an artwork, announced they had purchased CryptoPunk #9833 from Erick Calderon in an onchain transaction. This punk, along with 11 others was included in their 2025 exhibition Infinite Images: The Art of Algorithms. On his social media account, Erick wrote:

"This is one of my favorite punks and it never feels good to let one go but yeah this felt right. Grateful for institutions continuing to acknowledge, participate in and support our weird little corner of the internet."

Along with CryptoPunk #9833, TMA acquired SuperPunk World #198 - a piece by Nina Chanel Abney from Yuga Labs' (first and only) Punk in Residence program.
